Hey folks,
The final (for now) repository of the Shipwright in Training blog is over at Holly & I’s domain:
DavidDanielsDesigns.com

Not that there’s much new to see unfortunately…

Over the past few years I’ve been working with Andy Giblin, Ed McClave and the team of boat carpenters at MP&G in Mystic CT. We’ve been doing some very interesting projects, the NY 50 SPARTAN and the NY 30 AMORITA.

I haven’t been posting about these projects because once you’re in the private world, it’s really not appropriate to be putting up pics of someone else’s boat without their express consent. Add to that the culture at the shop, which is to be very low-key and focused on direct person-to-person information sharing, and the idea of blogging about these projects is a non-starter from the get go.

I am currently writing about the restoration of an 1885 luxury schooner, CORONET, in Newport, and you can find that at Coronet1885.com

I also wrote about building an Olin Stephins’ designed 6-metre at the Museum of Yachting named CHEROKEE. You can find that at moy.org and look for the Cherokee blog.
